A small collection of five antique “acetate” pocket knives, various makers to include George Wostenholm IXL, Hunter & Son and a rare E.Pitt of Bristol “Plum” Brand pocket knife. Each requires some kind of repair – faults vary from chipped scales to damaged blades. Great shame these are not in better condition – they are incredible examples. Hopefully someone out there can bring them back to life.

The five include –

A George Wostenholm 6 bladed knife with main and secondary blades both snapped, but with clear early Wostenholm tang stamps. Tools include a round punch, corkscrew, button hook and flat file. Brass liners and spacer. Scales good with one small ding. Tweezers that insert into rear are missing. Bail fitted. Outstanding quality. Length overall approximately 2 ½ inches, excluding bail.

A Richartz Solingen “Whale” brand 2 blade pocket knife. Main blade tang also stamped “Foreign Warranted Forged Steel. Secondary blade has been either snapped and filed or just filed down from use. A couple of chips to acetate. Beautiful swirl color. Brass liners. Length overall approximately 2 ½ inches.

An uncommon, Hunter & Son, Sheffield 2 blade pocket knife. Chipped edge to main blade. Clear tang stamps with Hunter’s Horn mark. Both blade tangs stamped with maker’s name. Good snap to both blades. Nice, mottled effect “acetate” scales. Overall length approximately 3 1/8 inches.

A rare 2 blade pocket knife by E. Pitt, 8 Queen Street Bristol Plum Brand (marked to tangs). Edge wear and pitting to main blade. Main blade sits high in frame. Small piece missing from both scales. Oblong shield to obverse scale. Easy open cutouts to scale. Brass liners. Length overall approximately 3 5/16 inches.

An unidentified, but very old, 4 blade pocket knife with an unusual double ball pivot layout. Three of the four blades are broken. One of the two springs with no tension. Some snap remaining to blades associated with second spring. Length overall approximately 2 ¾ inches.
